“ Hands down my favorite local coffee shop in Burlington (Scout on Pine and Kestrel on Maple being close runners up). Located in a 100 year old brick building that was once a chocolate factory, Nomad has perfect coffee shop vibes, delicious pastries made in house, tasty drinks and always friendly staff. There’s lots of seating for every mood - whether you’re there for a meet cute, a study session or simply to sit and enjoy the atmosphere with your coffee. There’s a lovely little outdoor seating area out back which is a nice spot between two old brick buildings and catches some sun in the morning. The rear entrance is also accessible with a ramp from the parking area. If you come at peak times the place is bustling and the line can be long, but the wait isn’t and it’s well worth it. Visit on a Saturday or Sunday morning and sample the Kouign Amann - a deliciously unique pastry with a flaky, crunchy, sugary crust and a soft delicious fluffy center. Enjoy the rotating art exhibits in the long gallery entrance, or take your coffee to go and stroll just a few minutes down Flynn Avenue and take in the beauty of Lake Champlain from Oakledge Park. ”
“ First time there staff was really friendly great place to work very quiet. Coffee was wonderful and the chocolate croissant was great I will definitely go back when I'm in the area ”
“ Nomad was excellent! The croissants were so fluffy I wanted to die! I went out on a limb to try a creamsicle iced latte and it was superb! Happy we stopped in here! ”
“ In the middle of our meal, I really started to rethink how any five star rating I've left up to this point might actually not have been five stars because nothing compared to how good Nomad is. We purchased our hot drinks and split a savory and sweet pastry all for under 20. First, it's affordable and fair. Second, big mistake on not just getting my own food; I would've liked to have had both things to myself. Big, BIG flavor. I love the way the pop tart was salted. I walked up to let the ladies at the register know and then waved to the chef. Bathrooms are waaaaay down the hall on the right. ”
“ So I visited this place months ago on my way to work. But, they didn't have weekend hours to sit down and eat a meal. They now do brunch on Saturday's and Sundays. It is stellar! The brunch menu is constantly change. You never know what they are going to have, but there is always something to be had. The coffee drinks are amazing, as well as the coffee that they get from Brio. ”
“ Relaxing atmosphere for a hot drink and a board game (brought our own). Limited food available. A few pastry options. There are different table styles and seating options available in the coffee shop and additional seating in the hallway and outdoors :) Very chill music playing too. Indie / folk ”
“ Nice little hidden gem! Coffee was good and it was nice and quiet. Relaxed and enjoyed my coffee. ”
“ Every time I come to Burlington, I try out a different coffee shop, but I might have to return to this one. It's location is a bit unorthodox, and the menu is small, but both the breakfast sandwich and the latte I had there were unrivaled in deliciousness and the atmosphere was so soothing. ”
